Run a free NFL pick'em pool — no signups

NFL pick'em is simple. Pick the winner of every game each week and see how you stack up against everyone else in your pool. Some groups keep it casual and play for bragging rights. Others turn it into a season-long competition that lasts from Week 1 in September all the way to the Super Bowl. Create the pool, share one link, and your group chat is playing in a minute — nobody needs an account.

How NFL Pick'em works

  1. 01

Pick NFL Pick'em and name your pool. You get a commissioner link — keep that one.

  2. 02

Share the plain link with your group. Friends join by typing a name, nothing else.

  3. 03

Everyone picks a winner for each game before it locks at kickoff.

  4. 04

Picks stay sealed until lock, then scores update automatically as games finish.

  5. 05

Check the standings anytime — the link is the scoreboard too.

Commissioner settings

Your pool, your rules.

Sensible defaults out of the box, with the settings commissioners actually use. Change any of it mid-season — Comped re-scores instantly.

  • Add a Monday-night tiebreaker so close weeks have a clean answer.
  • Turn on confidence points, ranking your picks 1 through however many games that week.
  • Switch to against-the-spread scoring instead of straight-up winners.

Our NFL pick'em pool is fully automated and free to use

Create an NFL pick'em pool in minutes and let us handle the rest. Picks, scores, standings, and weekly results are updated automatically, so you don't have to spend Sunday night entering scores into a spreadsheet or keeping track of the leaderboard.

You can create a pool in minutes and decide how you want to play: compete on the global leaderboard or create a private pick'em pool with a shareable link for your friends, your family, or your coworkers. Our private pools always stay private, while players looking for a bigger challenge can see how they rank against the rest of the Comped community.

We also offer prediction market insights from Kalshi to see how other NFL fans expect each matchup to play out. You can use this info to help make your picks. There's nothing to download and no account required. Simply share your link, enter your name, lock in your selections, and follow the standings as the week unfolds.

Don't forget our printables

Our printable pick'em sheets put each weekly matchup on a single page, complete with game times, point spreads, over/unders, and space for every entry. Print copies for your office, family, or group of friends and keep score the old-fashioned way, or use them alongside your online pick'em pool.

Unlike most printable sheets, ours update with the live NFL schedule, so kickoff changes and line movements are always reflected the next time you load the page. Customize the sheet with your league name, deadline, and preferred format, then download or print in seconds.

How to play NFL pick'em

NFL pick'em is one of the easiest ways to follow the football season. Each week, you are predicting who you think will win.

Once you've made your picks, sit back and watch the games. Each correct prediction earns you a point, and the person with the most points at the end of the week moves to the top of the standings.

Some pools use straight-up scoring, where you simply pick the winner of each game. Others use against-the-spread scoring, where your pick is based on which team covers the point spread rather than who wins outright.

Here's how it works:

  1. Join a pool using the link shared by the organizer.
  2. Pick the winner of every NFL game before kickoff.
  3. Submit your picks before the deadline.
  4. Earn one point for each correct prediction.
  5. Compare your score with your friends, family, or coworkers.
  6. Repeat every week throughout the season.

Example:

Imagine the Chiefs are playing the Broncos and the Eagles are playing the Cowboys. If you pick the Chiefs and Eagles and both teams win, you'll earn two points. If only one of your picks is correct, you'll earn one point.

At the end of the week, the player with the most correct picks wins that week's competition. Some pools also keep season-long standings to crown an overall champion.

Our site offers the ability to run your pool for the entire NFL season, from Week 1 all the way through the Super Bowl. You can compete for bragging rights, a prize, or simply see who knows football best.

And when the regular season ends, the competition doesn't stop. You can also play our free Super Bowl squares game and keep the fun going through the biggest game of the year.

Common questions

How does scoring work?

One point for every game you pick correctly, straight-up. If the commissioner turns on against-the-spread scoring, a correct pick means you took the side that covered the spread at lock instead of the side that just won — and a push (the spread lands exactly on the final margin) doesn't count for or against anyone.

Do my friends need to create an account?

No. Joining and picking only needs a name — no email, no password, no app to download. The link you shared allows you to keep track of the accounts.

Does the pool handle money?

No, never. We just run the picks and the standings. If your group plays for stakes, you settle up between yourselves however you normally would. We are a free to play predictions site.

What if I lose my link?

If you signed in with your email at any point, sign back in and your pools and entries reappear — we can match them by email. If you never signed in, the link is the only key, so it's worth saving it somewhere.

Can I see other people's picks before the games start?

No — every pick is sealed until that game locks, then everyone's picks reveal at the same time. Nobody can copy off anyone else.

Can picks be changed after kickoff?

No. Every save gets a fingerprint you can post in your group chat before kickoff — after that, anyone can check your revealed picks against it, so nobody (including us) can quietly change what you picked.
