How NFL Confidence works

Pick NFL Pick'em and turn on confidence points when you create your pool. You get a commissioner link — keep that one.

Share the plain link with your group. Friends join by typing a name, nothing else.

Each week has N games, so everyone assigns the values 1 through N across their picks — once each, no repeats.

Picks stay sealed until lock, then scores update automatically as games finish.

A correct pick scores the value you put on it; a wrong pick scores zero, no matter how confident you were.

Check the standings anytime — weekly totals and the season-long ranking are both on the same link.

- Add a Monday-night tiebreaker so close weeks have a clean answer.
- Switch to against-the-spread scoring instead of straight-up winners.
- Turn confidence off entirely and it's a plain Pick'em pool — one point per correct pick.
Common questions
How does confidence scoring work?
Every game that week gets picked, same as Pick'em. On top of that, you assign each of your picks a value from 1 up to however many games are on the week's slate — each value used exactly once. Get a pick right and you score the value you put on it; get it wrong and it scores zero, regardless of how confident you were.
Can I use the same confidence value twice in a week?
No — each value from 1 to that week's game count can only be assigned to one pick. The pool won't accept a second pick at a value you've already used that week.
What happens if I don't rank every pick?
Confidence points apply to every game on the week's slate, not a subset — there's no partial-week or skip-a-game version of this format.
Does the pool assign my confidence values for me?
No. You choose which pick gets which value yourself — nothing is auto-ranked or suggested.
Is there a player limit?
No — pools of any size. Comped never flips a pool to paid at an entry count, and it never will be "free up to N players."
How do people join?
They tap your link and type a name. That's the whole signup — no account, no app, no invite codes.
Does the pool continue through the playoffs?
Yes — the playoffs are just the next weeks on the schedule. Wild Card through the Super Bowl scores like any other week.
Do my friends need to create an account?
No. Joining and picking only needs a name — no email, no password, no app to download.
Does the pool handle money?
No, never. We just run the picks and the standings. If your group plays for stakes, you settle up between yourselves however you normally would.
Can I turn confidence off after creating the pool?
Yes — it's a setting on a regular Pick'em pool, not a separate game, so the commissioner can turn it on or off from Settings and every pick since re-scores accordingly.
Can picks be changed after kickoff?
No. Every save gets a fingerprint you can post in your group chat before kickoff — after that, anyone can check your revealed picks against it, so a pick changed after the fact — by anyone, us included — shows up as a mismatch. The receipt log itself can't be edited, only appended — that's enforced in the database, not just by policy.
Can anyone see my picks before kickoff?
No. Every pick is sealed until its game locks — the commissioner can't see it, and neither can we through any public page. What you get right away is a receipt: each save records a fingerprint of your picks and hands you a short code (XXXXX-XXXXX) to post in the group chat. Once every game you picked has locked, anyone can check that the picks showing are the ones that code fingerprinted.
