Gamblers hungry for a great promotion and thirsty for a good deal have a lot to look forward to at Tropicana Atlantic City this August.
In fact, the 24-hour Atlantic City beach and Boardwalk gaming destination is bringing back its signature foodie event this month.
The 11th annual Taste of the Quarter will run Monday, Aug. 20 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. local time. Plus, it will feature more food and drink than ever before.
Tropicana’s huge collection of dining establishments is always growing. This year, its 26 restaurants will participate in Taste of the Quarter, offering participants the opportunity to sample special menu items.
Some of the newest and most popular restaurants, bars and eateries participating this year include:
- Chelsea Five Gastropub
- Olón by award-winning chef Jose Garces
- Carmine’s
- P.F. Chang’s
Of course, all Taste of the Quarter proceeds go to benefit the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. Tickets run $30.
Eat for a great cause
Tropicana Atlantic City General Manager Steve Callender called Taste of the Quarter an amazing food festival:
“Taste of the Quarter at Tropicana Atlantic City has grown year after year to become an amazing food festival where guests can try the many food and drink offerings on property for a good cause. We’re proud to partner with United Way, our celebrity chefs, and the participating dining venues for an eleventh year.”
United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey President and CEO Bill Golderer said it’s more than just a great chance to taste Tropicana:

Participating partners can be found in Tropicana’s North and South Towers, The Quarter, and The Marketplace.
What Taste of the Quarter is dishing up
Chelsea Five Gastropub will serve a lobster bisque. The following is an example of the great food various other partners will be serving at the event:
- Chickie’s & Pete’s Crab House and Sports Bar will serve Mussels Red and Mussels White
- Broadway Burger Bar will serve freshly ground Angus Beef Sliders and French Fries
- Carmine’s will serve Carmine’s Famous Meatballs made with veal and beef
- Mrs. Fields Cookies will serve freshly baked chocolate chip cookies
- P.F. Chang’s will serve Chang’s Spicy Chicken and Fried Rice
- Casa Taco & Tequila Bar will serve chicken tacos, traditional guacamole, and virgin Casa Margaritas
- Hooters Atlantic City will serve its boneless wings

$1 Million Winning Ticket
In the meantime, August is the last full month to take advantage of Tropicana Atlantic City’s $1 Million Winning Ticket game.
Tropicana’s $1 Million Winning Ticket started May 31 and runs through Sept. 9. The game features daily drawings where players can win prizes ranging from $25 in Free Slot Play to a $1,000,000.
Trop Advantage casino loyalty club members can get a free ticket through any comp machine on the property. Drawings are every day at 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 p.m inside Palm Walk. Plus, Tropicana holds one more drawing at 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Match all six numbers on your ticket and win a 40-year annuity worth $1,000,000.
