In fact, the El Cortez Hotel & Casino in Downtown Las Vegas is running a ton of value-added promotions during the month of June.
Free Play Inferno drawing
Every Thursday in June, the El Cortez will host a Free Play Inferno drawing at 7 p.m. local time. This promotion will see 16 winners given the chance to spin the free play Inferno Wheel. Each is guaranteed anywhere from $200 to $1,100 in free slot play.
Players earn one entry with every hundred Club Cortez points they earn every day leading up to the drawing. Plus, on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays they get triple entries.
Double Diamond drawing
Saturday nights are reserved for the Double Diamond drawing. Every Saturday night in June at 8 p.m., the El Cortez will select 15 winners to play the Double Diamond slots at Club Cortez. This is for a chance to win as much as $1,000 each. Players earn entry with every 100 Club Cortez points earned leading up to the drawing. Again, they can earn triple entries on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays.
However, the value does not end there. On Sundays and Mondays, the El Cortez is running a 10x Buffalo Bonus Multiplier promotion. This gives players the chance to earn 10 times the Club Cortez points on buffalo-themed games.
A symbol of old-school Vegas
The El Cortez Hotel & Casino is the epitome of last century’s Las Vegas. It is right around the corner from the Fremont Street Experience. Plus, the property has a reputation as the cornerstone of Downtown Las Vegas and an icon of the classic Vegas casino scene.
The El Cortez is the longest continuously running hotel and casino in Las Vegas. It opened in 1941, and the owners at one point were famed gangsters Bugsy Siegel and Meyer Lansky.
The property has seen various renovations over the years. However, the 1952 facade remains the same in an effort to keep the spirit of classic Las Vegas alive. The structure was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in February 2013.
Ongoing casino promotions
Ongoing promotions at the El Cortez include the certified Best Odds in Las Vegas blackjack. The casino’s Single Deck Blackjack includes 3/2 full pay with $5 minimum bets. The El Cortez is also the only casino downtown with Double Roulette tables. Plus, El Cortez slots are certified 45 percent looser than Strip properties. They are also 37 percent looser than the Clark County average.
Further casino promotions for Club Cortez members also include:
- Five percent of the value of any government check or payroll check from a Clark County Gaming property cashed in free play.
- Five percent of the value of any ATM withdrawal over $200 up to $50 in free play.
- A bonus of 50,000 Club Cortez points for guests who sign up for the STN Mobile app at El Cortez and make their first $25 wager.
Food and drink promotions
The Parlour Bar hosts live entertainment every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Plus, June food and drink promotions include:
- Cucumber Patron Margaritas for $5 at all El Cortez bars.
- 2-for-1 drinks and half off draft beer from 3 to 5 a.m., seven days a week at the new Ike’s bar.
- Father’s Day at Siegel’s 1941 offering all fathers who dine on Sunday, June 18 a complimentary dessert or beer with the purchase of an entrée.
- As always, table game players at the El Cortez enjoy free beer on ice in the pit.
Ongoing food and beverage promotions include:
- The build-your-own Bloody Mary bar starting at $9 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
- $2 Budweiser and $2 hot dogs every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the El Cortez race and sportsbook.
- A daily English Muffin sandwich and cup of coffee special for $5 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Happy Hour specials at The Parlour Bar from 4 to 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. to 1 a.m., including $5 appetizers, 2-for-1 drinks and half-priced draft beer.
- Late Night $8 Jackie Burger and Beer Special from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Half-Off Wine Thursdays giving guests who purchase two entrees 50 percent off any bottle of wine.
Plus, game-side dining is available at the El Cortez from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. On Wednesdays, there are free ice cream bars for players who hit a jackpot of $25 or more.
